Orchardleigh is a beautiful Somerset Estate 10 miles south of Bath, with a
magnificent Victorian Stately Home built in 1856, an 18-hole Golf Course and
plenty of delegate accommodation both in the House and in the Lodges and
Cottages dotted around our 550 acre parkland Estate.

We're a family-owned and run house and estate, which makes us much more

fun than some other corporate venues. Our dynamic and experienced team will

make sure that you and your delegates will have a memorable event,
conference, product launch or activity day.

The house and estate

Orchardleigh House was built in 1856 by William Duckworth on the estate that
the family had bought only the year before from the receivers of Sir Thomas
Champneys, whose family had owned the land for generations, since the
Norman conquest.

Orchardleigh's indefinable English charm is testimony to the Estate changing
family ownership only twice in the last 800 years. Veiled in a tranquil bowl of
parkland and lakes, it's horizon a sweeping backdrop of rolling Somerset hills,
the Poet Laureate Sir Henry Newbolt (1862 - 1938), was inspired to write his
finest works from his love of Orchardleigh and it's Island Church.

We're a gated estate which means exclusivity for you and your delegates, as
well as providing the opportunity to 'let your hair down' and not breach any of
your corporate responsibility obligations.

Facilities

We have all the facilities and technology that you could possibly want for, all
here at our fingertips, to facilitate any corporate event, meeting, team-building
day or product launch.

We're the ideal venue for conferences, business meetings and product
launches as well as team-building and activity days. Full security is available for
those more confidential or sensitive meetings and events:

During your stay with us we'll serve you with fine freshly-cooked and prepared
food and make sure you've got enough refreshment to get you through the day.

In the evening we can provide you with bar facilities and you can even tell us
what you'd like us to stock for you - how's that for an incentive?

and lots of parking to the side.

Gloucester Lodges
A picturesque gothic-style building with 3-storey towers to each side of the

gate piers that envelope beautiful landscaped gardens.

Murtry Lodges
Both Victorian Period properties situated at the entrance to the estate, Murtry
East and West have been meticulously restored to their historic finery, providing
exquisite, first class, accommodation. To the rear of both properties there are
private patios, both with teak garden furniture.

Activities

Whether you are organising a staff or client event, whether the purpose is
incentive or reward, our Outdoor Multi-Activity Events are sure to provide a day
of fun, thrills, exhilaration and excitement.

The range of activity options and equipment that we offer is extensive, with all
the equipment being owned, maintained and run by our event partners. This
allows us the flexibility to create the perfect format for your event, providing

imaginative proposals for the location, brief, budget and requirements.

Team building

Team building means something different to everyone. With this in mind, we can
provide a wide variety of many different forms of team building designed to
encompass all preferences, objectives and budgets.

Your requirements will depend on the numbers attending your event, the timings
of the event, the time of year at which the event is to be held, your specific
objectives and so on. The intention is to bring together all of these factors to
ensure that we deliver a team building event which entirely suits your specific
team-building requirements.

Due to the extensive portfolio of team building events on offer, we can cater for
any group size, adapting the event accordingly. Moreover, the majority of our
team building events can take place either indoors or outdoors, and can be used
as half day, full day or even evening events.

Relaxation

Last, but by no means least, we have a beautiful 18-hole championship Golf
Course right here on the Estate, run and maintained by our friends at
Orchardleigh Golf Club.

Orchardleigh Golf Club was designed by Brian Hugget and built during 1994, with
much of the construction work undertaken by the existing green keeping team.

The course is set in established parkland, which gives a feeling of maturity
beyond its years. The 6800 yard par 72 course has been built to a high
specification with exceptional quality greens.

The practice facilities are excellent with full length practice range, practice
bunker, chipping and putting greens. Orchardleigh's parkland course offers 18

spectacular holes routed through mature trees with water coming into play on

seven. It certainly is a challenging but rewarding golfing experience, yet amidst

the stunning Somerset countryside it's a haven of peace and tranquillity.

Preferential rates have been agreed for you and your fellow delegates on a 'Pay
and Play' basis.
